Growing up I have always loved reading. I was the kid in class who always had a book with her and would read once I was finished with my work. I spent a lot of my time as a kid fantasizing about the kind of life I wanted, and with the help of books I was able to escape my world and dive into a new one each time I picked up a new book. I have met vampires and werewolves, hunted down serial killers, competed in the Hunger Games, and my personal favorite, fallen in love (a lot, thanks to Nicholas Sparks). Young Kat was obsessed with Nicholas Sparks, the Crank Series, and of course Twilight. I have kept every book I have ever purchased, and hope to someday have enough to fill an entire room. As a young adult work, school, and a social life kept me from reading as much as I had in the past. In 2021 I started to read again, starting with a David Baldacci, Memory Man, novel. A few of my favorite authors now are David Baldacci, John Grisham, and Kristin Hannah. Between the months of June and December in 2022 I read 27 books. This year I hope to not only beat that average, but also post reviews of all of them here for other book lovers to read!
